Last day - waaaaahhhh!
I really love this place, no, honestly.
So - it's my last day, and Philip took me to his local. Everyone knew him and the waitress was well used to his advances.
She was a lovely girl with a razor haircut and the food at the place was second to none!
He was showing off to be honest, but he ordered a whole range from the menu (and not from the menu) from Tampura to manta ray jerky to Italian pasta. Everything was excellent. Even the pasta was cooked properly and was real genuine penne - not like the first place I had 'pasta' here, which turned out to be noodles with a tomato sauce!
I'll post pictures of the place later - we got a number of them, but I've packed the cables for the camera now, and I'm damned if I'm unpacking it just for you lot!
Seriously - Tokyo has to be in the top 2 places I've ever been, up there with New York. If you ever ever ever get a chance to come, you have to bite the hand off the person offering.
I took my last look around Shibuya today, and it was with great sadness that I did.
Mind you - we were in the office until late again - past 8pm, but we managed to complete all that I'd intended. Sadly we couldn't do the backup drive or the wireless, but the guys for the wireless are coming in tomorrow (while I'm in the air) and Dell seem to have missold the backup drive, so there's going to be a fight over that. Philip's like a monster with the suppliers though - they seem to bend over backwards for him. He even managed to get the Sony engineers to install his Dell UPS today!
It's either the politeness of the Japanese people or the persistance of the Canadian, I'm not sure what.
S0 - I have to be up by 6am tomorrow! But I've booked the 'Limosine' bus already so it should all be ok...as long as the alarm managed to wake me!
Phew - I've written an essay, and all because Leigh nagged me.
Oh, by the way, if you come here, you have to go to Jack Pot (www.jack-pot.co.jp). The food's out of this world, the surroundings are authentic and the staff are great. Take someone who speaks Japanese with you though!
Pictures to follow, if I remember!
