I'm packed

and I've printed my boarding pass!
Today I walked and walked and walked!
First at 9 I was off to Grand Central Station and on the subway to Battery Park - stopped at Wall Street and wandered around to the end of the Island. Saw the Statue of Liberty in the distance and then walked to Ground Zero.
It's shocking - really really sad as I guess you'd expect. I shed a little tear to be honest.
From there, it was all the way back up to I think 33rd...from where I walked down to get some pictures of the Flatiron Building...took some digital and some film - the film ones have come out very well - I got them developed in the hour. Can't upload them from here as I don't have a scanner!
On the way there I thought I'd walk down Broadway....oops - once you get past Times Square it starts to chance - I really really got the feeling I wasn't welcome!
Anyhow, after photographing the Flatiron, I walked all the way up 5th past the Empire State and ended up going to the MoMA - the Museum of Modern Art. Very good - although it's not as good as Tate Modern...but I would say that!
Wondered up to Central Park, then back down the bright lights and big crowds area of Broadway, then down 42nd street, past Grand Central to my hotel.
And here I am, having just had room service and feeling very full!
Dr Who is on telly too!

Going to bed now - getting up at 5:30 I think - nervous about getting to the airport in time :S
